Just wanted to leave a quick comment regarding Bear Dog Park in Roseville, CA (#4). I am not sure how this park got onto this list, it is not even the best dog park in Roseville. A much better one is Marco Dog Park (unfortunately it is built in a flood control zone so closed most of the winter.) Anyway, Bear Dog Park is just over 1/2 acre, split in half so there are two separate areas for large and small dogs. They are both basically dirt circles with small patches of grass with small, I guess you could call them doggie playgrounds (ramp, tunnel, jump over the bar, etc.) Each of these grass circles has a crushed rock path around the edges for people to walk laps (or stand and talk and not pay attention to their dog who is going to the bathroom, humping, or being aggressive). There are also no lights at this park, just the lights from the adjoining baseball complex when there are night games. And I have noticed in the times I have gone to this park that the crowd of dog owners there are not the most attentive. I have seen problems with people not cleaning up after their dogs, aggressive and dominant dogs, and rude people in general. If you happen to live in Roseville, and are heading out to the dog park, you might want to check out one of the other two in this town. This park shouldn't be on any top list for dog parks.
