The following list of 10 movies by body count is based on the estimated number of bodies visible on screen. Many films have gone a lot out of their way to make the film more deadly.
1. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Description: This was the concluding trilogy film of the Lord of the Rings. The film was an epic fantasy based on the novels written by J.R.R. Tolken.
2. Kingdom of Heaven

Description: The story surrounds the time of the crusades in the 12th century. In the film, A French Blacksmith aims to help Jerusalem fight off the Muslims under the leadership of Saladin.
3. 300
Body Count: 600
Description: This fantasy film is based on a comic series written by Frank Miller in 1998. It fictionally retells the Battle of Thermopylae.
4. Troy
Body Count: 572
Description: This is an epic film starring Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom. It chronicles the events of the Trojan War in Ancient Greece. The movie was nominated for several awards.
5. The Last Samurai
Body Count: 558
Description: The film surrounds the main character, Captain Nathan Algren who is a man loose. The battles he once fought is now seem distant and futile.
