All over the world there are plenty of people who are crazy about horror games.  Here is another top 10 horror game list.

There are certain movies that only show their true colors once the clock strikes twelve. The following are recommended if you cannot sleep at three in the morning.

1. Carrie

This movie is adapted from Stephen King’s book of the same name. It is about a timid and mousy girl who is bullied by her class mates at school. They play a prank on her just to get her to come for prom night. When she’s on stage, they drop a bucket of pigs blood on her. Needless to say, she doesn’t like that too much so she decides to use her telekinetic powers to kill all of them.

2. Night of the Living Dead

Night of the Living Dead is about zombies who are dying (pun intended) to get some fresh human flesh and their main target is a group of five people who try desperately to survive through the night.

3. The Ring

The Ring is basically about a bizarre cursed videotape- once you are done watching it, the phone will ring and Samara (a little ghost girl) will tell you that you will die in seven days. Naomi Watts takes it upon herself to uncover the mystery and falls into a well.

4. The Sixth Sense

This film is about a young boy (Haley Joel Osment) who claims that he can see dead people. A child psychiatrist (Bruce Willis) decides to help him and help the boy get rid of his fears.

5. The Blair Witch Project

When this movie was released, the audience was told that three students went off into the woods to make a documentary about The Blair Witch and the footage was found a year later. However, it was merely a prank and the three students were only actors. It is an extremely disturbing movie and the camera work is shaky enough to make you nauseous.

People in horror films are usually quite stupid- they practically walk into the killer’s arms and ask to be bludgeoned to death. If you ever find yourself caught in a horror movie, keep the following tips in mind-

1. Keep Checking

If a man with a mask is chasing you and you are lucky enough to get into your car in time, take some time to turn around and run your eyes over the back seat. Then do it again- just to be sure. Also, if you have a feeling that somebody is hiding in the boot, find a sharp enough weapon to puncture it because what’s the point of opening it normally?

2. Hide

If you are hiding under the bed or in a closet, try not to keep peeking through the cracks every two minutes. Once you are sure that the killer has left the building, you should check your surroundings carefully and run your hand over the ground.

3. Run

If you cannot find a knife and you are sure that your lipstick will not work, run as fast as you can. Do not be silly enough to think that you will outrun the monster, though. No matter how fast you run on the treadmill in the gym and even if the monster is only strolling towards you, it will catch up with you sooner than you think. But still- keep running.

4. Don’t Be Excessively Brave

If you walk by a deserted building whose entrance is smeared with blood and you hear somebody crying out, do not take it upon yourself to save them. You will get killed.

5. Stay Away From the Undead

Sometimes pets and family members come back from the dead in horror movies. If you own such a pet or are knew the relative, don’t even think of going towards them. They won’t really care who you are as long as you have some meat on your bones that they can chew on.

Films over the years have been filled with loving and adorable characters but it has also featured a fair share of creepy and menacing people.

1. Ellen Ripley from Alien

Ellen Ripley was known to bite off another person’s head if they happened to annoy her. Not only that, but she would also return and feed on the rest of the body if she felt like it. Ellen obviously lived by that one phrase- in space nobody can hear you scream.

2. Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street series

We first saw him in “A Nightmare on Elm Street “in 1984 as a stalker who would appear in people’s dreams and kill them. He was disfigured and sharp knife-like razors poked out of his glove. The catch was that these ‘dreamers’ would be dead in the real world as well.

3. Hayley Stark from Hard Candy

Hayley Stark looks young and knows how to play up her charms which she then uses to trap an older man, tie him up and cut up his genitals. If anybody tries to reason with her, she confuses them with her clever answers and dismisses them.

4. Norman Bates from Psycho

Normal is shown to be a respectable man who lives in a large but creepy house which is situated across the motel he owns. He loves his mother very much who tells him that sex and women are dirty. As the movie progresses, we find out that Norman is jealous and obsessive. It is then revealed that he has Dissociative Personality Disorder and that he killed his mother several years back.

5. Carrie White from Carrie

Carrie is a mousy and timid girl whose classmates bully her constantly. Her mother is a religious fanatic and emotionally unstable in many ways. On prom night, the kids at school decide to throw a bucket of pig’s blood on her which irritates Carrie, to say the least. She uses her telekinetic powers to kill everybody in the school gym.

There are tons of haunted houses out there but these haunted streets will scare you just as badly, if not more!

1. A75 Kinmont Straight

This road is often referred to as “the Ghost Road” because of the sheer volume of paranormal activity that has been experienced here. It is said to be the most haunted street in Scotland and people have frequently reported unexplained sightings.

2. Kelly Road

This street is in Pennsylvania- Ohioville to be exact and is the centre of pretty bizarre happenings. According to legend, if any docile and peaceful animal is to enter the street, it will become violent almost instantly without any reason and start chasing anything in sight. People have said that they have heard strange noises coming from the forest that surrounds the street.

3. Dead Man’s Curve

This street is in Clermont County and has lead to the death of many innocent people. In 1969, five out of six teenagers passed away after meeting with an accident. Rick, the survivor says that the street has ever since been haunted by a hitchhiker who does not have face.

4. Boone County

There are a number of streets in this area including Bloodspoint Road, Flora Church, Poole, Cherry Valley, Irene, Wheeler, Pearl, Sweeney and Stone Quarry that are said to be haunted. According to legend, these streets have seen a number of suicides; train accidents and some were also the resting points of a powerful witch.

5. Stocksbridge By-Pass

This street is in England and was built in 1989. Over the years, people have reported seeing children playing on the street very late into the night while a monk stands silently and watches them.

Visit these haunted places even if you do not believe in ghosts. If you do- you won’t be disappointed!

1. Changi Beach

The legend that surrounds this haunted place in Singapore is that those people who were deemed as being against the Japanese were tortured and consequently murdered when the Sook Ching Operation was in motion. People say that loud screaming and crying can be heard from the beach and that heads can be seen in the air while the bodies walk around during night-time. The scariest part- these ghosts are splattered with blood.

2. Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery

This cemetery in Illinois holds corpses of only men, according to a legend. It has been noted that powerful, black magic has been occurring around the area as well as in the graveyard. Sightings and voices of strange creatures have been seen and heard by the locals.

3. Monte Cristo

This haunted mansion is in New South Wales and according to legend, houses Mrs.Crawley’s ghost who stayed inside the mansion for 23 years after her husband died.
People say that they can see ghost-like faces in the windows and hear unusual voices coming from the mansion.

4. Bhangarh Fort

This fort is located in India. People say that a ‘tantrik’ carried out some black magic in the area which would ensure that whoever entered that area would die and their souls would wander about without respite. It has been said that whoever visits this fort will become restless almost instantly and disappear without a trace.

5. The Screaming Bridge of Maud Hughes Road

Legend says that a couple and their baby were stuck on this bridge in Ohio. When the man got out to get help, he came back to find that his wife died and soon after, died too. A second legend says that a woman hung herself after throwing her child off the bridge. People have reported hearing conversations and screams.

6. The George Stickney House

Now the Police House, The George Stickney House can be found in Illinois. According to rumors, George Stickney wanted to speak with his dead children which is why he built the house in a way that would allow the spirits to roam freely. The police today say that the lights turn off on their own, doors open and close by themselves and objects move freely.

7. 50 Berkeley Square

While one legend says that a mentally disturbed servant murdered a little girl, another says that an abused girl jumped off the window sill. The top most storey of this house is haunted and ghosts with strange voices are heard quite frequently. A bookshop has now been opened in this house and the salespeople are told to stay away from this floor.

8. Babenhausen Museum

According to legends, ghosts of the dead soldiers who fought during the war wander around this place. People say that if soldiers today visit the museum and use the telephone, they will hear a woman’s voice talking in English or German- but backwards.

9. Screaming Tunnel

This tunnel is located in Ontario and according to legend, a sadistic father burn his little girl alive. People say that if you as much as light a single match in that tunnel, the spirit of the girl will start screaming hysterically.

10. Dominican Hill

Dominican Hill is in Philippines and people say that the ghosts of those patients of war who died there after being told that there was hope haunt the place. Doors, dishes and windows open and clatter on their own and voices are heard screaming.

1. Exorcist

The movie stars Linda Blair as Regan who plays the daughter of a famous actress. Regan soon makes an imaginary friend who ultimately takes possession of her body and is said to be the Devil. The images are chilling and will make you shiver and scream till the last scene!

2. Rosemary’s Baby

The movie begins with Rosemary and Guy moving into a new apartment shortly after their marriage. The neighbors seem perfectly hospitable and friendly. However, after she announces her pregnancy, the atmosphere becomes eerie and uncomfortable in the apartment building. One question remains- Who or What is the father of Rosemary’s baby?

3. The Omen

The plot of this chilling film revolves around Damien who is said to be the Devil’s son. A well-known, political and extremely influential family adopts the child. Damien soon starts to destroy anything and anyone that creates obstacles between him and his ultimate aim of world domination.

4. Poltergeist

A family finds that their home is haunted and instead of scaring the family, the ghosts initially amuse them by moving their furniture around. Soon after, they become nasty and take it upon themselves to terrorize the young family and kidnap their youngest daughter.

5. The Shining

The plot of this movie focuses on Jack Torrance, a writer who takes on the post of a caretaker during the winter season at a hotel. Jack’s son and the chef of the hotel are said to have psychic abilities as they can see ghosts of those people who were murdered in the hotel years ago. Jack soon gets influenced by these supernatural entities during a snowstorm and tries to kill his son and wife.
