The term ‘danger’ is usually associated with animals like bears, tigers and lions- carnivores, basically. However, the following top10 list of the top 10 most dangerous herbivores will tell you about those herbivores that may look gentle but can be extremely dangerous.

1. Gelada Baboon

Gelada Baboons have massive manes and flat faces that look severe no matter what. They are native to Ethiopia and their diet consists of grass and leaves. While they quite peaceful most of the times, they will eat you alive with their sharp and terrifying teeth if you happen to irritate them.

2. American Bison

The American Bison was left behind after the extinction of the Ice Age and can weigh about one ton. Humans tried their best to kill the species off but the Government intervened which is why a few are still around in zoos and national parks. They are dangerous only if you show signs of hurting their offspring or if you enter their territory.

3. Gorilla

A gorilla can weigh about and more than 200 kilograms and is extremely strong. They are quite peaceful and may even smile at you if you are lucky but if you try to hurt its family or threaten it in anyway, the gorilla will attack you without thinking. They have huge arms and their canines are sharp and knife-like and because they can run faster than any human on the planet, an irritated gorilla can kill you within a few seconds.

4. Cassowary

These birds are the largest in the world and are native to New Guinea and Australia. These vegetarians eat only fruit but if you manage to irritate them, the Cassowary will kick you with it dagger-like claw and disembowel you in no time.

5. Rhinoceros

All the species of rhinos are native to Asia and Africa. Because they are big, strong and have horrible tempers, they can be very dangerous. Even though a rhino’s horn is made of hair, it can enter an enemy and watch it bleed to death.

6. Wild Boar

Wild Boars are not pure vegetarians and may or may not eat a lizard or frog, depending on its mood. They can weigh more than 250 kilograms and their sharp teeth can rip open any predator, big or small. Females are equally dangerous, especially if their piglets are in danger.

7. Cape Buffalo

Even though Cape Buffaloes look like cows, they are among the most dangerous vegetarians in Africa. Their horns are long and sharp and their hooves are very heavy. Cape Buffaloes are known to move with their herd which means that if one is injured, the rest will finish the attacker if need be.

8. Elephant

This may come as a shock because elephants are usually considered to be very peaceful and friendly, but fact remains that they have killed many zookeepers over the years. Once they decide that their babies need to be protected or that their personal space is being violated, they will retaliate.

9. White Lipped Peccary

The White Lipped Peccary is native to part of South America and Mexico. They have very sharp canines which become even sharper every time the animal shuts its mouth as they rub against each other. Like Cape Buffaloes, they move in herds of about 1000 and if you happen to get attacked, run up a tree as fast as you can.

10. Hippopotamus

A Hippopotamus is known to attack more people when compared to leopards, crocodiles and even lions. Even though it is quite fat, it can run extremely fast and trample over its victim.

Based on William Steig’s Picture Fairy tale book, Shrek, the movie features a huge and strong Ogre. Top Ten UFO Sightings


The following is the list of top 10 UFO listings including cases of abductions and alleged alien sightings. While some cases have become folklore, others are popularly known mainly to enthusiasts and ufologists.


1. The Roswell incident

An alien spacecraft is said to have landed in July 1947 in Roswell, the New Mexican town. Metallic debris and some flying disc material were recovered on the hillside by Army Airfield Personnel which caught the attention of the national media. Roswell has since then become a destination having alien appeal as Americans were captivated by the idea of extraterrestrial visitors.


2. The Hill Abduction

The most famous alien abduction story is the one that involves the story of Barney and Betty Hill, a married couple who claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrials in September 1961. As they were driving on a rural road in New Hampshire, a strange disc-shaped light suddenly appeared in the sky. Barney saw several humanoid figures through the windowed UFO.


3. RB 47 Encounter

At No. 3 is the RB-47 encounter, one of the famous UFO encounters in history. The U.S. Air Force’s RB-47 plane was conducting an electronic intelligence mission in July 1957 over the southern U.S. The team aboard the plane observed that they were being followed by an unidentified flying object. The object soon began to close in on them.


4. Rendlesham Forest Incident

A series of UFO sightings took place in Britain’s Rendlesham Forest, a woodland area situated located along England’s east coast. Air force patrolmen and eyewitnesses saw a UFO on Dec. 26, 1980 as it landed in the forest. On investigation, patrolmen saw a conical metallic object on three legs. The object hovered over the ground and soared toward the sky shining bright lights down on them.


5. The Alaskan Mothership

A set of lights were seen flashing before his plane when Kenju Terauchi, a Japanese Airlines (JAL) pilot, was flying a Boeing 747 over Alaska. The crew realized that the glowing objects were actually two spaceships hovering directly in front of them. The spaceships circled in formation a few times before disappearing from view. The mothership which they saw also disappeared as they began to descend.


6. Mexican Airforce UFO Encounter

In recent years, Mexico has seen several UFO sightings many of which have also been videoed. In 2004, air force pilots saw some 10 or 11 bright lights moving quickly across the sky. When the Mexican Defense Ministry released the video footage of the lights it caused an international media frenzy.


7. Apollo 16 UFO Sighting

Another famous UFO sighting is the Apollo 16 UFO sighting. The crew of the Apollo 16 moon mission set off to explore the moon’s surface. They recorded a few seconds of video footage of a strange saucer shaped object with a dome on top.


8. Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters is the name used to describe unidentified flying objects seen by sailors and pilots often during World War II. Personnel on both sides of the war reported to have witnessed bright balls, differently shaped flying objects and bright lights which would follow them on their missions.


9. Ronald Reagan’s UFO Sighting

In 1974, Ronald Reagan, then governor of California, said that he had once seen a UFO. The sighting happened just before Reagan’s plane was going to land at Bakersfield, Calif. The crew saw a strange object flashing bright white light from behind. It later shot up toward the sky at unprecedented speed.


10. Angel Hair of Oloron, France

The town of Oloron, France, became famous after it witnessed an unidentified flying object known as an “angel hair UFO.” Many eyewitnesses reported to have seen a cylindrical object surrounded by some discs in October 1952.

1. The U.S. Government was involved in the 9/11 attacks

Many people believe that George W. Bush and his administration were part of the planning which lead to the destruction of the twin towers. Supposedly, this was done in order to gain additional military support, expand the state and support other policies which would benefit the President at the time.


2. A UFO was found in Roswell

It is believed that a UFO crashed in the summer of 1947 in the United States near Roswell. People have been debating for years about whether it actually happened and whether the evidence is credible. The military maintains the view that the ruins that were found belonged to a research balloon.

3. John F. Kennedy’s Death

John F. Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963 and it was concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald was behind the crime. The conspiracy theory here is that the CIA, the Mafia, the FBI, the Federal Reserve along with the Vice President were involved as well.

4. Global Warming is a Hoax

According to The Greenhouse Conspiracy, Global Warming is a myth. They believe that a single rumor spiraled out of control and led scientists to be sure that the environment is beyond repair. William Gray supports this theory and has recently listed out about 15 reasons which all point towards the fact that global warming is a fraud.

5. The Royal Family killed Princess Diana

Dodi Fayed and Princess Diana met with a car accident and died in 1997. It is believed that they were involved in a romantic relationship and that when the Royal Family found out, they had them killed in order to prevent a massive scandal.

6. Paul McCartney is Dead

It is believed that Paul McCartney who was part of the legendary rock band, The Beatles died over 40 years back in 1966. A look-alike replaced him and his living his life till date. Fans believe that when these songs are played backwards, secret lyrics are revealed and that the album covers are full of symbolism and imagery that make it obvious that Paul is indeed, no more.

7. Drug Companies Want You to Get Sick and Stay Sick

This particular conspiracy theory is quite popular and supporters believe that drug companies are trying their best not to find cures for diseases like cancer and AIDS because the medication that is used to combat the illness allows them to make massive profits year after year.

8. Chemtrail

According to this theory, if a trail that is left behind by a jet aircraft is in the form of a particular pattern such as a grid or a crosshatch, it is laced with chemicals that are created by the Government and are extremely harmful for living organisms.

9. The Everlasting Light Bulb

This theory has been around since the light bulb was invented. Supporters believe that the technology which has the ability to produce an everlasting bulb has been created but because regular light bulbs allow the industry to earn high profit margins, it is being suppressed.

10. The Apollo Moon Landing is a Hoax

People believe that the Apollo Astronauts never landed on the moon and that NASA made up this rumor and continues to keep it running till date. This theory is supported by certain films and photographs which have apparently been modified in a studio and with the help of highly developed softwares.

Technology Easter eggs are included in computer programs, websites, CDs, etc and are basically hidden messages or jokes. Let us look at some of these created by Google and Apple.

1. Recursion

Everybody is aware of the fact that if you type in a wrong spelling in the Google search engine, it will give you the right one with the help of the “did you mean” feature. However, if you type in this particular word with the correct spelling, Google will continuously suggest the exact same spelling again and again till you realize that the joke is on you!

2. Talk to a Martian

With the help of a certain application created by Google Earth 5, users were told that they could speak to Martians on Mars by entering “Meliza” in the search engine. While you will chat with something, it will not be a Martian but Eliza- an application with artificial intelligence. Eliza is not very interesting to speak to.


3. The Meaning of Life

If you are to enter the following phrase- “answer to life, the universe and everything” in the search engine, the first result you will see is “42” and a small calculator will be made next to it. There are other phrases that will confuse you just the same and probably make the engineers laugh. These include “once in a blue moon” which will give “1.16699016 × 10-8 hertz” as the answer and “number of horns on a unicorn” will give “1” as the answer.

4. Ascii Art

ASCII Art is a term used to describe any image that is created with the help of keyboard characters. Even though this style is quite obsolete, it is still as popular. Google engineers are quite fond of this art as the doodle alters when the phrase is searched for.

5. Swim the Atlantic

When Google Maps were new and somebody was to ask for directions between locations and areas that had water bodies in between them, the user would be asked to travel a bit and then ‘start swimming for 3,500 miles’. This Easter egg has been removed.

6. Google Gulp

This fictitious drink was created by Google 5 years back and it was said that it had the power to enhance the user’s intelligence and allow him to use the search engine more effectively. The user’s DNA would be analyzed and certain adjustments would then be carried out in the brain. It came in flavors like Sugar-Free Radical and Glutamate Grape.

7. Scratch and Sniff

On April Fools Day in 2009, Google told its users that they would be able to scratch and sniff the e-books. They were asked to press their noses up against their monitors and press enter.


8. Weather for Nowhere

This Easter Egg is found in Mac OS X Tiger. After opening the dashboard, clicking on the Weather Widget and pressing the Alt and command key together, if the user was to ask for the current weather, he would find that his location has been changed to “Nowhere”.

9. Text Game

If a Mac user is to click on Terminal and press enter after typing in the following phrase- emacs-batch-1 dunnet, a text game will start loading which is extremely addictive and will be the sole reason for your unproductively.

10. Knock Knock

If you own a Mac OS X and you wish to laugh, go to the Speech Recognition option and click on “Apple Speakable Items”. Hysterically enough, if you ask your computer to tell you a joke, it will do just that. Usually it comes up with not-so-funny knock knock jokes.

These people stole millions and billions and will go down in history for carrying out the most famous robberies in history.

1. Harry Winston

This robbery was carried out in December 2008 when out of four men, three were dressed like women entered a jewelry store and forced the working staff to rob it. They stole jewellery worth 108 million dollars.

2. Antwerp Diamond Center

Those diamonds that are uncut are made to go through a process that is carried out at the Antwerp Diamond Center. Leonardo Notarbartolo headed a gang which managed to empty out 123 deposit boxes out of 189. The gems they stole were worth 100 million dollars and were never found.

3. United California Bank Robbery

A group headed by Amil Dinsio robbed the United California Bank. They cleaned out the safe deposit vault and managed to remove about 30 million dollars. While this may not seem like too much after going through this list, fact is that this robbery took place in 1972 and this money will probably be worth over 100 million dollars today. Even though the details are not clear, one can safely say that it was a great robbery!

4. Schiphol Airport Heist

This diamond robbery is considered to be the largest of its kind as gems worth over 118 million dollars were stolen. While a majority of these robberies involved fantastic plans and remarkable execution, this one didn’t. Their basic plan was to smash, grab and run. Four men carried it out and several have been arrested on the grounds that they were associated with the crime.

5. British Bank of the Middle East

In 1970, a terrorist group called PLO needed money so they decided to rob a number of banks and the most significant one was the British Bank of the Middle East. They stole gold, current and stocks worth over 25 million pounds which would be worth about 100 million dollars today.

6. Knightsbridge Security Deposit

Valerio Viccei was a well known thief who moved to England from Italy and decided to continue his ‘trade’. He, along with his gang, emptied out safe deposits and left the bank with about 174 million dollars. However, he was arrested because he came back to England to get his Ferrari and was sentenced to over 20 years in prison. Unfortunately, he was killed in the year 2000.

7. Baghdad Bank Robbery

This bank robbery was carried out in 2007 in Iraq by 3 guards who worked at the bank. They managed to empty out about 282 million dollars and it has been speculated that they took the help of some militias. The money was never recovered and the media did not think it necessary to cover this robbery as much as they should have.

8. Boston Museum

Two men disguised themselves as police officers and told the security guards at a particular Boston museum that they were doing a routine check. They took 81 minutes and stole about 12 paintings which were worth 300 million dollars 20 years ago.


9. City Bonds Robbery

In May 1990, a messenger was carrying bearer bonds when he was mugged. Since bearer bonds are as good as cash, the person who mugged him was quite lucky. The worth of these bonds has been estimated at 292 million pounds at that time.

10. Central Bank of Iraq

Saddam Hussein felt that the Central Bank of Iraq was his own and that he could withdraw any amount whenever he wanted. He sent his son to withdraw over 1 billion dollars but was soon caught.

1. Stockholm Syndrome

This disorder is often seen among those who have been abducted in the past. The hostage begins to feel sympathy, compliance as well as loyalty with the person who has kidnapped him. The risk does not matter and the hostage may also refuse to testify again him.

2. Lime Syndrome

This mental disorder is seen amongst the hostage takers wherein they become in tune with the needs of those who they have kidnapped. They become emotionally attached to them and end up releasing them quite quickly.

3. Diogenes Syndrome

This mental disorder is associated with a Greek philosopher who decided to live like an animal. Therefore, those who suffer from this disorder resign themselves to a life characterized by unusual and reclusive tendencies; a type of hoarding that is compulsive and self neglect. Diogenes Syndrome is associated with such senior citizens that are slightly senile.


4. Paris Syndrome

This mental disorder is very common among those Japanese tourists who become anxious in Paris and have severe mental meltdowns. Even though it is quite rare, the experience can be quite harrowing for those who suffer from it. These polite tourists suffer from a major culture shock as they cannot understand why the city is nothing like it is portrayed in the movies.

5. Stendhal Syndrome

Those who suffer from this mental disorder find it difficult to stand before beautiful artwork. They are instantly anxious, confused and dizzy. Some may even hallucinate if they see ‘too much art’ in one place. This term is also used to describe that condition which is associated with people who experience the same symptoms after being exposed to natural beauty.


6. Jerusalem Syndrome

Those who suffer from this mental disorder feel compelled to visit Jerusalem. They have such ideas that are religious and obsessive at the same time and are laced with delusions as well. This disorder is not exclusive to a single denomination and is known to affect Christians and Jews that belong to diverse backgrounds. 7. Capgras Delusion

This is a rare disorder and those suffering from it believe that either an acquaintance, family member or spouse has gone missing and an imposter who looks exactly like the person has taken his place. Capgras Delusion is common among those who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or those who are recovering from brain surgery.

8. Fregoli Delusion

This disorder is the opposite of the above mentioned disorder and those who suffer from it feel that different people they meet are not different but in fact that same person. The patient believes that this one person continuously changes his appearance.

9. Cotard Delusion

This disorder is quite rare and those who suffer from it believe themselves to be dead. They are sure that they do not exist and that their veins run dry. Some may even think that they are immortal.

10. Reduplicative Paramnesia

Those who suffer from Reduplicative Paramnesia believe that a particular area, location or place is either duplicated or has the ability to exist in more than two places at the same time. They may also believe that that one site has been shifted to another location. For example, a patient who is standing in a restaurant will convince himself that he is in fact at a another restaurant which is located in some other part of the country.
