Celebrities are known to check into the mental hospital when something does not go their way. Many of the following celebrities suffer from bi polar disorder, while others suffer from anxiety and stress. There are also exceptional cases where a few celebrities committed themselves due to a traumatic experience.

1. Mischa Barton:

In July of 2009, Barton was photographed looking out the window of the Psych Ward in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills. She was put under 72 hour surveillance after an attempted suicide on July 15, 2009.

2. Marc Mervinsky:

In March of 2011, Show Biz Spy reported that Chelsea Clinton’s husband was having a mental breakdown. Since he quit his banking job to ski in Wyoming, things have gone sour for the guy. He was further troubled over the fact that he had to break ties with his father (a convict) because of the Clinton family.

3. Delta Burke:

In March of 2008, Burke had reportedly checked herself into a psychiatric hospital for depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. In a TMZ TV interview she found that hoarding had ruined her life. According to Huffington Post, she checks herself regularly into a psych ward to adjust her medication.

4. Justin Chambers:

This Grey’s Anatomy Star checked himself recently into the UCLA Medical Centre and specifically into the psych ward. A rep confirmed that was the case. Chambers is a father of 5 who suffered from exhaustion and a sleeping disorder. He committed himself voluntarily.

5. Catherine Zeta Jones:

In April of 2011, Zeta-Jones was admitted to Silver Hill psych hospital. She was there for 5 days and was treated for bipolar disorder. She suffered from stress over her husband’s (Michael Douglas) battle with cancer. She checked in under the name Terrie Kirny.

1. Charlie Sheen:

This is a sad case. He is successful and people do love his work. His personality frankly sucks. No one would ever consider being his friend. When drunk and high, he badmouths co-workers, producers and other people around him. I can’t understand how someone could take pride in being hated? Money will never buy him happiness.

2. Simon Cowell:

Many viewers love to hate this TV personality. Many people who auditioned for American Idol and Britain got Talent, were offended by his sarcasm. Although the comments were made for TV and humor, I am sure contestants did not appreciate them.

3. Rosie O’Donnell:

Many fan loved her as a talk show host. This was until she showed her darker side in the 2000s. She sticks her nose where it does not belong and is vocal about it. How was it her business how Star Jones lost weight? She decided to also bite Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s head off over her views on The View. I’ll let you decide if she is in fact a bully.

4. Kathy Griffin:

She is someone we love to call annoying…at times. Her voice is squeaky. Many people share that opinion as the squeaky voice sometimes gets to people. This was especially the case when she badmouthed the Palin family. You can attack Sarah, but why go after everyone else?

5. Denise Martin:

People come to play Survivor to win a million dollars. They cheat, steal and lie in the game to get to the finals. When people go overboard and try to get more attention that is just shameful. Denise Martin claimed that she was fired from her lunch lady job because of Survivor. Producers awarded her a monetary reward to help her. Turned out that was all a publicity stunt. No one likes those seeking pity and those who try to cheat.

Ryan Seacrest is an American radio personality, television host, network producer and voice actor. He is also the host of E! News and American Idol. Since season two of American idol in 2003, he has been the lone host for the show. He is also the executive producer of several shows including, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated and Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. 5. Kim Kardashian

She shot to limelight with the show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ along with her family. Now she also stars in another reality show called ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York’ alongside her sister Kourtney. She also earns handsomely with her endorsements deals Skechers sneakers, Kotex tampons and skin care brands Quick Trim with her sisters. The 30 year old has earned $6 million in 2010 alone and she charges $75,000 for an appearance.

The life of a Star begins with a cloud of hydrogen collapsing. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky. Other names for it are Dog Star, Aschere , Alpha Canis Majoris,  HR 2491 and HD 48915. It is located in the Cannis Major constellation and it is the earth’s sixth closest star. It is about 8.6 light years away from the earth.

2. Canopus

This is the second brightest star in the galaxy. Other names for it are Suhel, Suhail, Alpha Carinae, HR 2326 and HD 45348. It is 74 light years away from the earth and it is located in the Carina constellation.

3. Alpha Centauri

Third brightest star in the night sky, it is also referred to as Rigel Kentaurus. Other names are Rigil Kent, Toliman, Alpha 1 Centauri, HR 5459 and HD 128620. It is 4.3 light years away and can be seen in the Centaurus constellation. This is a triple star formation which includes Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and Alpha Centauri C.

4. Arcturus

Fourth brightest star on the list, it is located in the Bootes Constellation. It is 34 light years from the earth. Other names for this star are Haris-el-sema, Alpha Bootis, HR 5340 and HD 124897.

5. Vega

Located in the Lyra constellation, this is the fifth brightest star in the sky. It is 25 light years away and is three times the size of the Sun.  Other names for this star are Wega, Fidis, Harp Star, Alpha Lyrae, HR 7001 and HD 172167.

Many well-known rock stars have died at a young age. Research undertaken in the UK indicated that there were 100 deaths of famous rock stars between 1956 and 2005. 1. Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley was a white southerner who is also credited as being the first real rock and roll star. He was considered a bad influence and was also dismissed as being incompetent and vulgar. He died on 16, August, 1977 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 42.

2. Sid Vicious
An English musician, Sid Vicious was best known for the bassist of the punk group “Sex Pistols”. He died at the age of 21 owing to heroin overdose on February 2, 1979.

The Sex Pistols was created in 1975. One of the leading forces in punk music, the band played fast-paced short songs, expressing angst and frustration some of social and political issues at that time. Unlike music acts from previous generations, the group had no interest in producing hit records or pleasing anyone, except themselves Even before Vicious joined, the Sex Pistols were known for causing quite a stir. Jerome John “Jerry” Garcia was an American musician. He became popular for his work with the brand the Grateful dead. Garcia was considered to be the “spokesman” of the group. He died on August 9, 1995 at the age of 53 of a heart attack after recuperation from a drug addiction.

I would say that Jerry’s impact on mankind is quite broad and his influence on my music is much more significant than he is ever given credit for. 5. Carl Wilson
