1. Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie has it all. She has a great, rising acting career, and made her directorial debut in 2011 in the film “In the Land of Blood and Honey”, which was greatly praised by critics and moviegoers. Jolie starred in films such as “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, “Salt”, “The Tourist” and Girl, Interrupted”, for which she won an Oscar for. Since 2001, she has done humanitarian work all over the world. What Jolie hopes to accomplish is “awareness of the plight of these people. I think they should be commended for what they have survived, not looked down upon.”
Jolie has had a love-hate relationship with her father, actor Jon Voight. Jolie has said that her father was never around, and they only saw each other when they were working together. In 2001, Voight made a plea in a televised interview for Angelina to get professional help for her mental problems. Jolie stopped having any contacts with her father until 2010. We see Marcia Cross every week on the hit television show, “Desperate Housewives”, co-starring Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman. She faced tragedy at a very young age when her partner of several years, Richard Jordan, died of a brain tumor in 1993. Cross then married stock broker, Tom Mahoney, in 2006 after six months of dating.
After several unsuccessful attempts, Cross became pregnant with fraternal twins, conceived via in-vitro fertilization. Towards the end of her pregnancy, Marcia was put a bed rest to prevent her from going into premature labor. Already a star in her popular TV show, she asked the producers to cut down on her appearances in the show until the delivery of her twins. Michelle Williams began her career in 1998 when she landed the role Jen Lindley in the teen soap-like drama “Dawson’s Creek” co-starring Katie Holmes.
