These top 10 most devoted Hollywood moms were not only chosen for raising their children with unconditional love and devotion but also for the example and high standards of parenting they set for other moms.
1. Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie has it all. She has a great, rising acting career, and made her directorial debut in 2011 in the film “In the Land of Blood and Honey”, which was greatly praised by critics and moviegoers. Jolie starred in films such as “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, “Salt”, “The Tourist” and Girl, Interrupted”, for which she won an Oscar for. Since 2001, she has done humanitarian work all over the world. What Jolie hopes to accomplish is “awareness of the plight of these people. I think they should be commended for what they have survived, not looked down upon.”
Jolie has had a love-hate relationship with her father, actor Jon Voight. Jolie has said that her father was never around, and they only saw each other when they were working together. In 2001, Voight made a plea in a televised interview for Angelina to get professional help for her mental problems. Jolie stopped having any contacts with her father until 2010. However, Jolie stated in an interview that she does not necessarily want a father-daughter relationship between her and her father, but to be friends.
With her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, on the other, Jolie had a very close bond. Sadly, Bertrand died in 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Jolie has said that she will never be as good of a mother that her mother was, and in 2012, said that she still sometimes forgets her mother is gone and wants to talk to her about her everyday life.

Everyone was waiting and counting down the days, months, or years, until the couple announce their separation, but their union seems stronger than ever. Since the day her daughter was born, Garner went from being a superstar actress to a supermom. In January 2009, Garner and Affleck had their second daughter, Seraphina, and in August 2011, the couple announced that they are expecting their third child together.

We see Marcia Cross every week on the hit television show, “Desperate Housewives”, co-starring Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman. She faced tragedy at a very young age when her partner of several years, Richard Jordan, died of a brain tumor in 1993. Cross then married stock broker, Tom Mahoney, in 2006 after six months of dating.
After several unsuccessful attempts, Cross became pregnant with fraternal twins, conceived via in-vitro fertilization. Towards the end of her pregnancy, Marcia was put a bed rest to prevent her from going into premature labor. Already a star in her popular TV show, she asked the producers to cut down on her appearances in the show until the delivery of her twins. Savannah and Eden were born with a beautiful mane of red hair, resembling their mom. Once she did, McCarthy became a spokesperson for Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) from June 2007 to October 2008. Michelle Williams began her career in 1998 when she landed the role Jen Lindley in the teen soap-like drama “Dawson’s Creek” co-starring Katie Holmes. But first, she had to emancipate from her parents at age 15, so that she could decide what roles to take on her own.The show ended in 2003, and the following year, Williams landed the role of Heath Ledger’s wife, Alma, in “Brokeback Mountain”.
They began a relationship together, and had their daughter, Matilda Rose, in 2005. 2005 was a big year for the couple. Not only did they have their daughter that year, they also had their movie coming out, and both of them were nominated for an Oscar. The couple seemed to have a stable life in New York, away from the public eye. While promoting their movie, Ledger called Williams, “the perfect mom”.
However, it all seemed to good to be true as Williams and Ledger broke off their engagement in 2007. The separation took a toll on Ledger, as well as his career path. He was depressed and could not seem to be able to sleep. On January 22, 2008, Heath Ledger died due to a drug overdose from six different prescription medications. Michelle Williams was left to raise their daughter on her own.
