A good leader inspires a person to achieve something extraordinary. Good leaders don’t boast of their leadership, but are humble and motivate the people they lead. There are several such influential people all over the world. It would be interesting to look closer and choose ten of them who make a difference to our humanity.

 

1. Barack Obama:

Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States of America. A highly intelligent person, he has acquired several notable achievements. A visionary with the ability to bring change, he is definitely one of the best individuals who can lead millions of people with confidence and courage.

 

2. Hu Jintao:

Hu Jintao is the President of the People’s Republic of China. Some of his achievements in the field of economy are greatly appreciated by people all over the world. He is a man who advocates “China’s peaceful rise,” thus ensuring soft relationships with the rest of the world.

 

3. Nicolas Sarkozy:
Nicolas Sarkozy

He is the 23rd President of the French Republic. He is famous for his ultimate stance on certain important issues pertaining to law and order. He has also promised to cooperate with the United States of America and the United Kingdom in foreign affairs.

 

4. Ben Bernanke:

Ben Bernanke is an American economist and also the existing Chairman of the Board of Governors of the United States. His contributions to the economy are manifold. In fact, he was elected as the chairman for the second term by President Barack Obama.

 

5. Jean-Claude Trichet:
Jean-Claude Trichet

Jean-Claude Trichet is the President of the European Central Bank. He has the credit of winning the “Vision for Europe” award that was given to him recently, identifying his amazing contributions to the integration of Europe.

 

6. Masaaki Shirakawa:
Masaaki Shirakawa

He is the present Governor of the Bank of Japan. He joined the University of Japan and graduated from the institution with an advanced degree. He is one of the most powerful leaders of the world today. He has also addressed the current virulent global crisis through his speech called “Way out of Economic and Financial Crisis: Lessons and Policy Actions.”

 

7. Gordon Brown:

The present Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is Mr. Gordon Brown. He is also the leader of the Labour party. He took up the Prime Minister post after Tony Blair stepped down. He was named as the World Statesman by a foundation based in U.S. that is dedicated to humanity, peace and an understanding between different religious faiths. He also has the honour of leading the international community towards solutions for the economic crisis.

 

8. Angela Merkel:
Angela Merkel

Angela Merkel is the chancellor of Germany. She was also honoured with the “Vision of Europe” award for her contributions towards the European integration. She has achieved Karlspreis for her remarkable contribution towards European unity. She was also given the award Bundesverdienstkreuz, which is nothing but the Grand Cross of the Order Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

 

9. Vladimir Putin:
Vladimir Putin

He became the second President of Russia and is currently the Prime Minister of Russia. He was named as the Person of the Year by a famous magazine called Expert.

 

10. Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud:
Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud

Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud is the King of Saudi Arabia. He became king in the year 2005.
