There are various supernatural creatures used in those movies that are totally brutal in nature. These supernatural creatures are ghost, vampires, aliens, demons, zombies and many more. The story was taken from the novel which had the same name Psycho written by Robert Bloch. It is about a lady named Marion Crane. She is secretary of Norman Bates. She escapes after taking huge amount of money from her office and lands up in a motel. The owner of the motel was a disturbed one and then a series of incident happen that will for sure frighten you to an extreme limit. This movie is undoubtedly the best horror film that has been made so far. Psycho was appreciated by each and every person who watched and it fulfilled the expectation of truly being a horror movie.

She makes desperate attempts by taking use of the magic from the two priests so that she could get control over her daughter. The exorcism that the priest conducts is very much dangerous and it seems that her desperate attempt would lead both of them in huge trouble. The movie was made using the story that was published in the book named as The Exorcist by the writer named as William Peter Blatty.

The story revolves around a writer named as Jack Torrance who also looks after a hotel which has been isolated from the public. Somehow his family which included him, his wife and his son got trapped inside the hotel. This followed the series of movie by the same name but we are here talking about its first instalment which was released all over the world on 22nd October 20004. This story filmed in this movie is about a curse that generates when a person dies accompanied by the huge sorrow. There are series of incidents that happen in this movie and they all intersect with each other at one point or the other. This movie when released was said to be the scariest movie of all times and it lived to its expectation to a very large extent. The graphics and the special effects which were provided using modern technologies made things really scary in this movie and it took whole lot of courage to watch this movie alone.

The story was about Carol Ledoux who lives in London. Due to some incident which happens in his life he began to hallucinate and this hallucination later on takes on a very higher stage resulting into some serious damage. Then happens a series of accident that are not at all natural and brings a lot of trouble for the rest. The film is an excellent horror film with some extraordinary special effects keeping in mind that it was shot in the year 1965. This movie is like a worst nightmare for the common people and it will make them regret as why they decided to watch this horror movie.

 

6. The Descent (2005)

The plot of the story revolves around six women who unknowingly enter into a cave which is unmapped and get trapped there. The worst part then comes when they confront with a flesh eating humanoid. The fight bravely with this monster but only few of them managed to come out. The movie was then followed by The Decent Part 2 later on. The amount of horror this movie generated was simply amazing and so it is the best horror film in the recent times. Thanks to the special effects that were available at the time when it was filmed, it made the condition even worse for people watching it as it made them scream in fear.

The amount of terror that it managed to generate among people is simply outstanding. Alien was directed by Ridley Scott. The story is about a supernatural creature that is from outside world. This creature is highly aggressive and he attacks the members of a spaceship creating a lot of chaos which finally leads to death of every person of that spaceship. With the release of Alien now people were introduced to new kind of terror that may destroy their life in seconds. The monster in this movie as well as the graphic violence used was a lethal combination that managed to stun everybody.

The story revolves around a boy who is merely six years old and his name is Michael Myers. He kills his elder sister by stabbing her with a knife on one of the Halloween night. The emotional instability of the child grows with the passing years and finally he turns into a living monster. After a gap of fifteen years he again comes back from a hospital to kill the girl named as Laurie Strode and her group of friends. His doctor suspects his intentions and later tries to help the girls and her friends. The immense violence used in this movie is enough to increase the heartbeat of a normal person and affects its emotional sentiment.

 

9. The Sixth Sense (1999)

This movie which based on supernatural theme and it revolves around a boy who had the power to talk to the dead people. Interestingly he used to see those dead people as well. The doctor who tries to rectify this disease in this child was equally troubled. Gradually as the movie progresses a hell lot of mystery unfolds which scares the audience to a very large extent. The movie was directed by M. Night Shyamalan and this movie managed to grab six Academy Awards that year. The lead actor of the movie was Bruce Willis. This is one of the best horror movies that has been made in recent times and its success tell us about how much it was appreciated by the people.

 

10. Night of the Living Dead (1968)

The director of this movie was George A Romero and it is considered as one of the most horrifying movie ever made in America. The story revolves around eight people who get trapped inside a farmhouse which is built in a rural area. The worst part then happens when the monsters that were considered as to be the “living dead” attacked them. Now they fight with them and some of them managed to get back in one pieces. It got appreciated internationally. This movie managed to scare people to the core as it is full of scenes which will startle the viewer.
