Chicago’s O’Hare will be sadly disappointed. You don’t get much runway these days for $65.
“Recently a sum of $65 has been sanctioned by the federal government for the construction of runway, a part of the massive modernizing project taken in to hand.”
WRONG! When it comes to traffic, and the rate at which planes land, there is not even a close second to the true number one in the world, and it happened less than a month ago.
Oshkosh, Wisconsin, home of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual Fly-In (popularly known by the vast majority of the world’s pilots simply as “Oshkosh”) is typically about 10 times busier during the World’s Largest aviation even event than any other airport on the planet.
Please take note.
PS> The fact that pilots are told to turn OFF their transponders when they near the area says something, too. They “see and avoid”, and FLY.
One has to wonder if the passenger count of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is unfairly boosted by the presence of the Conair facility.
Chicago’s O’Hare International would have easily
trounced Hartsfield, but traffic has been diverted to the
smaller Midway International which had nearly 20 mil
passengers in 2012.
