6. Illizi, Algeria:

On August 18, 2011, this city recorded a temperature of 51°C. This is part of the hot season which lasts from April to November. July, however, is the warmest month and June is the driest.

This is the most visited city for people of the Muslim faith. Muslims make a pilgrimage (the Hajj) at least once in their lifetime to the city to visit the largest mosque in the world. The temperatures here have risen as high as 37°C and have peaked at 43°C during most Junes. There is little or no rain in this city, as only 10-12 days are raining in the city.

 

8. Marrakech, Morocco:

The weather changes drastically throughout the year. The lowest temperatures are seen throughout winter in the months of January and February. There is also a great deal of rainfall during these months. During the summer the climate changes to warmer with high temperatures reaching up to 38°C.

 

9. Las Vegas, Nevada:

This city is in the middle of the desert. Many of those who live in Las Vegas also live up North. Las Vegas is usually their winter residence in order to get away from the snow. Temperatures peak at 35°C in this city in the month of July. They can also reach up to 41°C between the months of June and August. The hottest day was recorded on July 24, 1985 at 46.7°C

 

10. Dallol, Ethiopia:

The temperature was standardized at 34.4°C between 1960 and 1966 in this Ethiopian city. The country is located near the equator but is largely mountainous. The highest temperature to be recorded in the city was 48.9°C.
