Along with the storied contributions of Walt Disney in the development of film animation come all-time favorite Disney characters who have become part of our lives for over 70 years now. Walt Disney also contributed to a large extent in the introduction of the most hated fictional characters of all time. Let us take a look at the list of top 10 villains in Disney movies, all of us love to hate.

 

1. Maleficient – Sleeping Beauty

The evil ways of this villainous character seems boundless. As she goes about devising her sinister plots to make life miserable for Aurora, we can’t help but be affected by her spiteful ways. The evil designs of the queen are one of the main highlights of the story about Snow White. Our love for Snow White is partly credited to the villainous acts that she experiences from the Queen.

 

3. Scar – The Lion King

Scar is the fiendish brother of Mufasa who is consumed with envy and plots to do everything possible to wrest power and become Pride Land’s King. He went as far as killing his brother and Simba, his nephew. Not feeling any remorse when he killed his brother, he even put the blame for the death of his brother on Simba.

This devilish octopus has a sick habit of collecting the souls of her victims so that they wallow in misery for the rest of their lives. She even deceives Ariel with promises full of lies in order to capture his soul and draw King Triton into a trap.

Shan-Yu is the cruel leader of the army of Huns who is out to vanquish the whole of China. He and his rogue band breached the Great Wall invaded the territory and proved that he is far more superior and more powerful than the Emperor of China.

 

6. Lady Tremaine – Cinderella

Lady Tremaine Cinderella

This completes our circle of lady villains who have made the lives of our heroines miserable. Lady Tremaine is the wicked and selfish stepmother of Cinderella. She is well remembered as the hateful character who has abused Cinderella.

 

7. Jafar – Aladdin

Jafar Aladdin

Jafar is the devilish sorcerer who goes through series of transformations while plotting for the overthrow from the throne of the Sultan of Agrabah.

 

8. Governor Ratcliffe – Pocahontas

Governor Ratcliffe Pocahontas

This greedy and power-hungry governor makes life miserable for the savages. He covets the treasures that he believes the Native Americans possess. When he discovers that they don’t have the material riches that he is seeking, he still went through with his original plan and attacked the Native Americans.

 

9. Cruella De Vil – 101 Dalmatians

Cruella De Vil 101 Dalmatians

You will immediately find her disgusting by the mere mention of her name. Cruella De Vil is the animal kingdom’s worst nightmare. She has this overriding obsession of getting her hands on the 101 Dalmatians as she likes to make coats from these cute Dalmatian puppies.

 

10. Stromboli – Pinocchio

He is loud, fearfully large and evil. Stromboli has all the features and traits of our consummate villain. He is the cruel showman who uses his marionettes as firewood every as soon as he finds no use for them.

    Good list! I’m a fan of Disney animations aswell. So sad that they wont be making hand-drawn cartoons. For me all of Disney’s animation are good. Anyways nice list again. What’s are Best Disney Movies to Watch With Your Kids
