A mobile phone is gadget that is used to make and receive calls over a radio link. It allows access to a public telephone network by connecting to a mobile phone service operator’s cellular network. 3. HSDPA (high-Speed Downlink Packet Access)
HSDPA is a third generation (3G) mobile communications protocol found in the HSPA family that enables networks to have higher capacities and data transfer rates based on the UMTS system. The current down-link speeds that are supported by this technology are 1.8, 3.6, 7.2 and 14.4 mega bits per second. We can expect greater speeds in the future.
4. Fourth Generation (4G) Technology
This communication system provides an IP solution that is very comprehensive that supports streaming of multimedia, data and voice at higher rates at anytime and anywhere by mobile phone users. 4G is expected to provide higher data rates and QoS in the future when it becomes a fully integrated IP-based system after convergence of wireless and cabled network technologies.
5. Secure SMS messaging Technology
This technology has been implemented to allow for mobile money transfer services for making payments and banking services using a mobile phone. This includes M-PESA by a Kenyan mobile phone operator called Safaricom. The concept is now gaining popularity among numerous nations including the UK and US.

This list examines the first countries to have banned cell phone usage while driving. When using a hand-held cell phone, drivers remove one hand from the steering wheel to answer their phones. They also take their eyes off the road to pick up and/or search for the phone and to dial a number. This all happens while the driver is operating the vehicle and watching the roads.
1. Jersey:
The ban was enacted in February of 1998. Like Isle of Man, it is another British crown dependency. It has its own legal and financial systems as well.
2. Denmark:
Policy was enacted in July of 1998. Handheld equipment is still allowed. Anyone caught will be fined 300 krons.
3. Japan
Japan is much stricter than most countries. It will not allow drivers to even utilize hands-free devices to speak while driving. The ban has been in place since July of 1999.
4. Isle of Man
The law was enforced in July of 2000. This island is a British dependency which is located on the Irish Sea. This law comes into place in a country where there is no national speed limit…well except in built areas.
5. Czech Republic:
Policy was enacted in January of 2001. This affects all those who utilize handheld equipment while driving.

One of the greatest innovations of the 20th century has to be the mobile phone or commonly referred to as the cell phone. Over the years, technological enhancement in the manufacture process has enabled manufacturers to convert the cell phone from being a mere tool of making and receiving calls to a more dynamic miniature computer.
At the turn of the 21st century it was possible for one to surf the web from their mobile phones. As competition increased, it soon became possible to receive and send documents from your phone, listen to FM station, download music and play games amongst other applications. All these were made possible thanks to mobile software. In the year 201 there was an eruption of innovations in respect to mobile phone applications. As new smart phones were hitting the market, i.e. iPhone 4 and numerous Android devices offering better experiences for its customers.
Not all mobile phone software are the same. There are those that serve as utility programs while others serve as entertainment applications. In addition, some mobile application programs can be downloaded for free while some have to be paid for. Nonetheless, there has been a revolution of mobile phone software since 2009.
1. Chase Mobile:
The Chase mobile software has been specially developed for smart phones, i.e. iPhone, BlackBerry, iPad, Android and iPod Touch. The cell phone users are offered a means to check their account balances, confirm credit card due dates and available amount as well as check transaction history. 5. The Weather Channel:
The Weather Channel also known as TWC is an application that is available across all platforms. Every application is distinct in that it brings the benefits of an actual OS on which it is running on. The application is preferred by a majority of users as it offers the functions for which it was developed for as it provides its users with specific information that they are looking for. The application supports adverts but is in no way intrusive. There is a banner at the top of the screen however this expands only if the user clicks on it.

Blackberry has been making a lot of user friendly phones and the Blackberry Bold 9780 is undoubtedly the most impressive non touch screen phone.
